Move over, Bey…Gaga came to slay.

#1. SHE JUMPED FROM AN EXTREMELY HIGH PRECIPICE.

I don’t care that it was pre-recorded…LADY GAGA JUMPED FROM THE TOP OF A FOOTBALL STADIUM. Like, you guys, she actually just let God take the wheel and was only supported by a harness and two wires. Whaaaat?! I once bungee jumped in PCB and almost peed my pants. Lady Gaga was like a flying tiger super hero. She’s fearless!

I also loved that people were like, “Pink did that first,” and Pink was like, “Just stop right there; Lady Gaga is a beast.” (So not the exact quote, but close.)

#2. Someone get me that shiny sliver phone and scepter stat!

I don’t know what would make me more happy, a giant silver light-up, oddly-shaped telephone, or a giant pointy scepter to feel like I’m queen of everything! Clearly, Lady Gaga is the queen of everything because she had both during her epic performance.

#3. Those back up dancers, though!

Seriously, some of the most fierce humans! All of the different sections, costumes, props and facials were out of this world. I especially loved the cool-shaped baton twirling and the entire “Born This Way” and “Bad Romance” sections. Huge shout-out to the choreographed crowd surrounding the stage!

#4. Three words: shiny football pads.

I absolutely love how literal Lady Gaga was during Super Bowl LI’s halftime performance. She literally had dancers wearing football helmets, and she literally wore rhinestoned football pads for her final song.

#5. Her flawless live vocals and piano skills.

Basically, Lady Gaga is one of the most talented performers we have the honor of sharing this crazy world with. She never looked tired or out of breath, and her vocals never waivered. I especially loved when she played the piano and sang “Million Reasons” while propped up on her knees on the piano bench. She’s just so real.

#6. She caught the shiniest football while leaping into an abyss.

Like, where did she go?! She yelled, “SUPER BOWL FIFTY-ONE”, then threw the microphone for an intense mic drop, and then leapt into an off-screen pit of pillows after marvelously catching a shiny football. Insane. Who knew Lady Gaga had wide receiver skills, too?!

#7. She promoted love and acceptance…like always.

Not only is Gaga an amazing performer, but she’s also one of the most decent human beings. She always strives to promote kindness, love, acceptance, diversity and happiness. I was so happy watching her in her element. I especially loved when Gaga finished her song, “Million Reasons” and just hugged a random crying girl in the crowd with so much love.

#8. THE DANCING!

I mean….come on! Soooooooooo fierce!! Gaga, her back-up dancers, the crowd, all of it together! I will say, the dancing wasn’t all-perfect, and I saw some not-so-syncopated movement from some of the back-up dancers and Gaga, but that’s actually what I loved most about the performance. Everyone was so full-out and being 100 percent themselves, that they look slightly different and real!

A huge shout-out to Lady Gaga’s Visual Director and Choreographer, Richy Jackson, and the whole Gaga team on a tremendous success.
