BAM has announced a slate of innovative programs across nearly every medium including dance, music, theater, visual art, family events, and more.

BAM’s Winter/Spring 2026 season bursts onto Brooklyn stages with a thrilling array of theatrical milestones, from the National Theatre’s razor-sharp contemporary Hamlet starring Hiran Abeysekera (Life of Pi) to Robert Wilson’s mesmerizing reimagining of Melville’s Moby Dick, infused with haunting songs by Anna Calvi, and V (formerly Eve Ensler)’s galvanizing folk-pop musical Dear Everything, where young activists rally to save their forest from destruction, featuring the unstoppable Jane Fonda in a triumphant return to the stage.

Dance lovers will revel in the electric return of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, delivering a joyous explosion of beauty and transformative power through timeless masterpieces and bold new visions under new Artistic Director Alicia Graf Mack; the Trisha Brown Dance Company honoring Robert Rauschenberg’s centennial with landmark works by Brown and Merce Cunningham; and (LA)HORDE’s boundary-pushing Age of Content with Ballet national de Marseille, a hyperrealistic interrogation of fractured identities in the digital age that blurs the line between flesh and avatar.

Music ignites the senses with the Brooklyn Rider & Friends’ (BRC) orchestral odyssey through Stevie Wonder’s landmark five-album run, from Music of My Mind to Songs in the Key of Life, celebrating the icon’s boundless versatility, alongside Edinburgh Fringe sensation Todd Almond’s (Girl from the North Country) witty, Odyssey-inspired musical I’m Almost There, a rollicking voyage through modern dating’s quest for connection (and decent coffee).

Beloved BAM staples anchor the season, including the explosive return of Word. Sound. Power. 2026, the ancestral vibrancy of DanceAfrica, the body-positive revelry of Everybooty, freewheeling sounds at BAM Free Music, and whimsical adventures in the BAMkids Film Festival. Cinematic appetites are sated at BAM Rose Cinemas, with fresh screenings rolling out at the state-of-the-art BAM KBH in the L10 Arts and Culture Center, making this lineup an unmissable testament to BAM’s fearless curation of global voices and boundary-breaking collaborations.

This season also marks the beginning of an ambitious multi-year partnership with BAM and the National Theatre of Great Britain. Far more than a shared season or a single production, this partnership is an alignment of mission, infrastructure, and vision, and aims to offer a model of international collaboration rooted in trust, imagination, and public service.

In the coming years, the collaboration will bring National Theatre productions to BAM’s Harvey Theater and to BAM Rose Cinemas, and will feature a co-led education initiative that will enrich classrooms across the five boroughs through teaching residencies, symposiums, masterclasses, school-time performances, and talks.

“BAM’s Winter/Spring season is devoted to big stories, big productions, and big collaborations where the courage and curiosity of our artists match the adventurousness of our audiences at any age,” says BAM’s Artistic Director, Amy Cassello. “We continue to bolster the arts and culture sector through local and international partnerships, aligning with other organizations that share BAM’s mission, vision and values. This is what makes our new multi-year alliance with the National Theatre so exciting. By joining together our robust education, film, and archival programs with mainstage engagements (starting with Hamlet), we are providing multiple access points for experiences that are provocative and transformative.”

“BAM celebrates visionary artists who inspire, challenge, and delight audiences,” says BAM’s Interim CEO, Tamara McCaw. “Our ability to make programs accessible and to serve our community is made possible with crucial support from donors, our civic leaders, and elected officials. We are grateful to their unwavering commitment to BAM and the arts.” Tickets are on sale now for BAM’s 2026 Winter/Spring season at https://www.bam.org/
