BODYTRAFFIC, a powerful artistic force in Los Angeles since 2007, proudly announces its 2025–2026 Home Season, featuring three dynamic performances spotlighting diverse choreographic voices from across the U.S. and around the globe.
BODYTRAFFIC is known for its bold programming, technical brilliance, and stylistic range. The company’s repertoire spans ballet, contemporary, modern, Afro-Cuban, and hip hop—showcasing the exceptional versatility of its dancers. This season, BODYTRAFFIC will perform works by contemporary dance choreographers from Spain, The Netherlands, and across the U.S.

In addition to its Home Season performances, BODYTRAFFIC will tour nationally with stops in Palm Desert, CA; The Villages, FL; Des Moines, IA; New Orleans, LA; Maryville, TN; Dallas, TX; Provo, UT; Milwaukee, WI; Storrs, CT; Fairfield, CT; Fayetteville, AK; Asheville, NC; with additional cities to be announced.

The L.A. season kicks off on October 10 at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center in Thousand Oaks, featuring a vibrant mixed repertory program. This electrifying showcase combines high-energy music with spellbinding choreography, promising an unforgettable evening of dynamic artistry. The program features Trey McIntyre’s thrilling Blue Until June, set to the soulful sounds of Etta James, and Matthew Neenan’s A Million Voices, performed to music by the inimitable Peggy Lee. The evening concludes with Snap!, a burst of electrifying energy choreographed by L.A.’s own Micaela Taylor, set to the grooves of James Brown. Tickets on sale now.
From December 11-13, BODYTRAFFIC will be at The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. This program showcases BODYTRAFFIC’s versatility with four works that celebrate bold style, storytelling, and movement.
Flyland by David Middendorp is a heart-tugging duet blending animation, projection, and choreography to stunning effect. Cayetano Soto’s Schachmatt (Checkmate!) turns a giant chess board into a playground, drawing inspiration from Pedro Almodóvar and Bob Fosse. The return of Juel D. Lane’s pulsating Incense Burning on a Saturday Morning: The Maestro is a dynamic tribute to LA painter Ernie Barnes, with vivid projections that bring his iconic artwork to life on stage. Plus, Jordyn Santiago’s Coalescence, vibrant, affirming love letter to femininity, queerness, and community. Tickets on sale now.
The season’s final engagement takes audiences on a journey to New Orleans with prolific choreographer and BODYTRAFFIC Creative Partner Trey McIntyre’s Ma Maison, performed with live music by the legendary Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Ma Maison explores rituals and culture of New Orleans. Originally commissioned as one of the first performances in the city following Hurricane Katrina, this rare restaging is a remembrance and a celebration—a testament to the resilience and richness of this significant city. The program showcases the company’s signature blend of technical brilliance, emotional depth, and West Coast cool. BODYTRAFFIC’s final season engagement will be June 4-6, 2026 at The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.
