TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND, in partnership with the nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center, proudly announces its 2025/2026 season, a vibrant celebration of dance featuring ten companies from France, Canada, Taiwan, Spain, and the United States. Now in its fifth decade, TITAS continues to lead the charge in presenting breathtaking, boundary-pushing performances that ignite the imagination and foster community connection.
The season includes four company debuts, one U.S. premiere, world premieres, and the return of the provocative TITAS/UNFILTERED series, cheekily tagged, “If you’re easily offended, don’t come.” Executive and Artistic Director Charles Santos encapsulates the season’s spirit: “Our mantra this season is simple: Be In The Room: Nothing replaces the shared live experience. There’s a magic that happens in the theater—something that can’t be duplicated streamed, replayed, or replicated. You just have to be there.”
The season opens on September 12 at the Winspear Opera House with Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE, a profound exploration of community in African American culture. This soul-stirring performance blends movement and emotion, creating an unforgettable experience that resonates deeply, uplifting audiences with its powerful narrative and dynamic choreography.
On October 31 and November 1, France’s Ballet Preljocaj returns to Dallas after a 27-year absence, presenting GRAVITÉ at Moody Performance Hall. Known for bold, dramatic choreography, Angelin Preljocaj’s company combines athletic artistry with striking music, delivering a captivating showcase of European contemporary dance that commands the stage from start to finish.
November 7 and 8 mark the U.S. debut of Canada’s Anne Plamondon Danse at Moody Performance Hall. After two decades performing with renowned companies like Nederlands Dans Theater 2 and Crystal Pite’s Kidd Pivot, Plamondon’s choreography has earned global acclaim for its technical brilliance and emotional depth, promising a powerful introduction to Dallas audiences.
Taiwan’s Hung Dance takes the Winspear Opera House stage on December 13, seamlessly blending Chinese opera, mythology, and Tai Chi with contemporary dance. With evocative lighting and bold costumes, their performance explores the profound connection between humans and nature, offering a mesmerizing fusion of tradition and innovation.
On February 6 and 7, 2026, Spain’s Sergio Bernal Dance Company electrifies Moody Performance Hall with a thrilling blend of ballet’s grace and flamenco’s fiery passion. Accompanied by three soulful musicians and exceptional flamenco dancers, Bernal’s charisma and precision push both art forms into bold new territory, creating an unforgettable cultural experience.
BODYTRAFFIC, a TITAS favorite, returns to Moody Performance Hall on March 20 and 21, 2026, with their signature high-energy performances. Collaborating with choreographers like Kyle Abraham and Ohad Naharin, this Los Angeles-based company delivers a masterclass in contemporary dance, rooted in a mission to get the world moving.
On April 4, 2026, Complexions Contemporary Ballet arrives at the Winspear Opera House, led by dance icons Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson. With music spanning David Bowie to Bach, their electrifying style redefines contemporary ballet, drawing new audiences with bold, passionate performances that signal the future of the art form.
Compagnie Marie Chouinard, a standout from two seasons ago, returns to Moody Performance Hall on May 1 and 2, 2026, with Magnificat and the iconic Rite of Spring. Choreographer Marie Chouinard, a Bessie Award winner and Officière des Arts et des Lettres, crafts visually stunning works that let audiences “see” the music unfold, blending innovation with raw musicality.
GALLIM, a fearless New York-based company, makes its Texas debut on May 29 and 30, 2026, at Moody Performance Hall with SAMA. This bold, tribal-infused performance, featuring dancers on stilts and barefoot, dives into the raw spectrum of human experience, delivering an electric, boundary-pushing spectacle.
Closing the season on June 6, 2026, at the Winspear Opera House, MOMIX presents BOTANICA, a magical journey through nature’s rhythms. With stunning costumes, projections, and puppets by Michael Curry, this family-friendly show transforms the stage into a vibrant celebration of life’s ever-changing forms, following their acclaimed ALICE.
The season’s highlight, Command Performance, returns on April 18, 2026, at the Winspear Opera House. This gala event features artists from leading companies alongside TITAS-commissioned works by choreographers like Twyla Tharp, William Forsythe, and Mia Michaels. Dynamic and awe-inspiring, it’s a not-to-be-missed showcase of world-class dance.
