Brooklyn-based nonprofit Dancewave presents the 11th annual Dancewave Through College and Beyond (DTCB) international career preparatory and college fair event. Co-presented by Dance Magazine for three years in a row, the robust college dance fair will be experienced online October 1-24, through the trusted event app, Whova. Close to 1,000 attendees will engage in this unparalleled event, including representatives from 60 U.S. and UK college dance programs and hundreds of students and families worldwide.

“My daughter is a junior in high school, and it was nice to get a step ahead,” said a DTCB 2020 parent participant. “It made her feel less anxious for next year because she knows how to prepare. I look forward to joining Dancewave again next year when she is ready to audition.”

A signature feature, DTCB connects students directly with the opportunity to audition for program admission and scholarship awards. Dancewave enables students and their families to audition for up to 60 top U.S. and UK dance programs, saving thousands of dollars in admissions fees and travel expenses. Dancewave’s carefully crafted virtual audition platform allows students to safely learn, record and upload audition videos from anywhere in the world. $13 milion in scholarships have been awarded through DTCB’s audition process to date.

“As a parent and a college counselor for a performing arts high school for over 25 years, I was impressed with the organization and use of technology to pull together this opportunity for dance students,” said Joel Diamond, college counselor at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts. “My daughter and students gained a wealth of knowledge and had a wonderful experience. We will attend again.”

Participants benefit from powerful live networking opportunities, financial aid and college admissions workshops, masterclasses, panel discussions with industry leaders and  professionals, and much more. Student registration is open, with the event app launching on October 1. Networking and engagement opportunities will be available through the app until January 24, 2022.
