World Dance Alliance Global Summit
The World Dance Alliance Global Summit was held in Brisbane from July 13th-18th. Titled Dance Dialogues, the conference provided a program of panel presentations and discussions, performances, master classes, chorelab, networking opportunities and nightly on stage dialogues from industry leaders about current dance issues and ideas. It was a very interesting and very full program that provided time to think about dance, discuss dance, take part in dance and watch dance. Ausdance Queensland and World Dance Alliance Asia Pacific did an outstanding job to organise such a large event and should be commended for excellence. The next World Dance Alliance Global Summit will be held in India.

With a concert Friday night in the Marriott Hotel, then a huge outdoor performance at Customs House on Saturday, finishing with workshops and classes at Wesley Institute on Sunday, Project Dance was a dance filled weekend full of both learning and performing experiences. Large crowds gathered to watch the Saturday dance spectacle as conference participants from across Australia and the world entertained audiences for free from 10am to 5:00pm with many different dance styles. Project Dance is an empowering dance event that allows like-minded dancers to come together and share in the joy of dance through a conference, workshop and open performance program. Straight from New York City, Project Dance is a movement of dancers seeking to positively impact culture through artistic integrity. For more information visit www.projectdance.com
