Project Dance is an empowering dance event that allows like-minded dancers to come together and share in the joy of dance through a conference, workshop and open performance program.
Straight from New York City, Project Dance is a movement of dancers seeking to positively impact culture through artistic integrity. Project Dance desires to see all dancers nurtured to their fullest potential for their own wellbeing and their contribution to the world. Each Project Dance event offers training and education from renowned dance artists and performance opportunities for dancers worldwide who desire to dance with integrity to inspire.
Project Dance has travelled the globe, leaving behind a trail of excited and uplifted dancers. Started in New York 7 years ago, Project Dance now travels to Atlanta and Los Angeles as well as Sydney and Hong Kong. 2008 is Project Dance’s first visit to Hong Kong, with performing dancers offered the once in a life time opportunity to also perform at the Beijing Olympics, with travel expenses from Hong Kong paid for by the Chinese government!

Project Dance Sydney will be held again this July from the 18th to 20th in and around Sydney Harbour and once again I will be there, expectant and excited. Project Dance is a dance conference like no other as every instructor and dancer is there to encourage achievement in both dance and life. Project Dance not only involves performances and classes by industry leaders, but gives you the chance to shine also.
Project Dance carries the same format to every city. It is a jam packed, three day weekend! The Friday involves registration, an expo and an evening concert including live music and performances from the Project Dance team, as well as host city artists and dance companies. What makes Project Dance unique is the Saturday program. The Saturday involves an all day outdoor dance concert where all conference attendees are given the opportunity to perform their own choreography in a prime city location. The outdoor concert is designed to touch the community, allowing the dancers to share their gift with their city. In New York I was able to perform a solo on Broadway in the middle of Times Square to thousands of people! It was an amazing opportunity! Project Dance set up a huge outdoor stage on the corner of 44th Street and Broadway, in Times Square, with performances to massive crowds running from 9:00am to 7:00pm. In Sydney dancers are offered the chance to perform on a huge outdoor stage in Sydney Harbour’s Circular Quay, looking across to the Opera House! It’s a breathtaking and exciting experience and a rare
