2008 Asia Young Choreography Projects  - Choreographic Opportunity in Taiwan
A total of four choreographers recommended by WDA–AP will be selected to attend the Young Choreographer project in Kaohsiung, with an additional four Taiwanese choreographers selected to join the event. The funding is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, Taiwan, the Culture Bureau of the Kaohsiung city and the Chin-Lin Foundation for Cultural and Arts in Taiwan. Choreographers will be selected from names recommended by WDA-AP country delegates (in Australia this will be Ausdance National). The deadline for the recommendation from each country delegate is March 17, with all documents required below completely sent to Taiwan by 1 April. The housing, local transportation, dancers, studios, publicity, production and office assistance are offered and a total of NT$30,000 (about US$800) for the honorarium will be provided. Airfares are not covered.

The Lisa Ullmann Travelling Scholarship
The Lisa Ullmann Travelling Scholarship Fund (LUTSF) provides financial support by paying travel expenses to individuals (dancers, choreographers, administrators, teachers, therapists, journalists, photographers and others working in the field of dance/movement) who wish to travel abroad or in the United Kingdom to extend their knowledge and skills by attending a conference, pursuing a research project, or undertaking a short course of study in the field of Dance/Movement. Applications are welcomed irrespective of age, nationality or training.

Barcelona Dance Awards 2008 and Dance Grand Prix Italia 2008 - Invitation to Dance Groups
The Barcelona Dance Awards 2008 is an International Dance Competition for Dance Schools/Groups. The organisers are inviting "Dance Directors" who are interested in expanding their knowledge of other cultures, as well as promoting their work abroad. This exciting trip will give dancers and students an excellent opportunity to present their work, to network with directors, producers, other artists and compete to win the awards.

THE BREAK YOUNG ARTISTS DREAM OF - AMAZING OPPORTUNITY
Six globally renowned artists have agreed to give an unparalleled opportunity to six young emerging artists from around the world to learn from a master in their field.
The new mentors for 2008-2009 in the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative are: Rebecca Horn (Visual Arts), Jirí Kylián (Dance), Youssou N'Dour (Music), Martin Scorsese (Film), Wole Soyinka (Literature)and Kate Valk (Theatre). Each artist will choose a protégé from a group of finalists identified by the Rolex international nominating panels. They will then spend a year working one-to-one with their protégé, regularly engaging in extended dialogue, and sharing and refining their creative work. The six protégés will also receive a grant of $25,000 each to enable them to take part, in addition to travel and other major expenses.
