Exclusive Scholarship - The Tanz Akademie Zurich, Switzerland
Scholarships are being offered exclusively to Australian male dancers aged 16-17 years for full participation in the TAZ advanced dance courses. The scholarship may cover costs of tuition, board and lodging, health insurance and medical costs. The scholarship is for the Swiss school year starting August 2007. TAZ is part of the Zurich School of Music, Drama and Dance.

Applications for Learning Curve II, facilitated by Brian Lucas, are now open. Learning Curve II is a creative development and mentoring residency that gives recent tertiary dance graduates the opportunity to work with an established choreographer. Running from August 27 - Sept 7, up to 15 graduates will have the chance to work with Brian Lucas, as part of his creative development of a new full length solo work - Performance Anxiety, in the Dancehouse studios in Carlton, Victoria.

ReelDance invites submissions - ReelDance International Dance on Screen Festival 2008
ReelDance International Dance on Screen Festival brings together some of the best dance films and videos from around the world and culminates in the screening of the finalists for the ReelDance Awards for Australian & New Zealand Dance Film & Video 2008.
Submissions are now invited for consideration in two categories:
The General Program and The ReelDance Awards.
Closing Date: Consideration in the General Program: September 1, 2007.
International shorts, documentaries, music videos, animations and features will be considered.
Closing Date: Submissions for the ReelDance Awards: October 1, 2007.
Prizes will be awarded for Best Short Dancefilm or Video (max. 40mins) and Best Dance Documentary.
Conditions: The team working on the submitted films or videos in the ReelDance Awards must consist mainly of Australian or New Zealand residents and the work must have been completed after Jan 1, 2006.

ReelDance invites submissions - ReelDance - One Minute Reels, Electrofringe 2007
ReelDance - One Minute Reels is a program of one minute, movement-based videos or films shot in one take that will be screened in partnership with Electrofringe 2007.
Electrofringe is a festival of experimental electronic arts and culture. Electrofringe 2007 will include screenings across five days from 27th of September to the 1st of October 2007.
Submissions are now invited for consideration from Australian and New Zealand film and video makers. All entries must be one minute (+ credits) in duration and contain no edit breaks.
Closing Date: August 1st.

Bundanon Trust- Artist In Residence Program 2008
The Bundanon Artist in Residence Program is open to professional individual artists and groups by invitation or application. Bundanon supports professional artists' practice, across all disciplines and at all stages in their career and advances contemporary art practice through fostering artists, producers/directors, as well as curators and educators engaged in research and development.
Australian and international artists are hosted in purpose-built studios located at the Bundanon properties on the Shoalhaven River in NSW.

The Australian Choreographic Competition has been running since 2005, attracting entrants from across Australia and New Zealand and is based on choreographic expertise with reference to a set of given criteria.
Category 1:
Entrant must be a Secondary student aged 15 years or older.

Second Prize: $500
Category 2:
Entrant must be either a Tertiary student or any adult aged 19 year or older.
