Dance Studio Owner

Tiffany Henderson is ‘Being Personal in a Digital World’

Given that dance teaching is mostly a live experience, conducted in real time and space, with real, sweating bodies, how can a digital presence capture, compete or complement that live, focused, disciplined (and sweaty) experience?

Tiffany Henderson is a dancer, choreographer and educator based in San Francisco. She has over 3,000 enrollments in her dance schools throughout California, and she is known for a creating a syllabus and program for preschool-aged children. Henderson says, “The millennial mom is no longer getting recommendations from newspaper advertisements or phone books. It is easier as a business owner to use advancing technology to be more personal and connect with your customer to foster customer loyalty.”

As well as running her Tiffany’s Dance Academy locations, Henderson educates teachers in practical strategies for business marketing through seminars and webinars. A webinar is an online seminar, an event held on the internet which is attended exclusively by an online audience.

Henderson’s upcoming webinar Being Personal in a Digital World is free! It explores using technology to connect to current, past and future customers.

“I think at the heart of all of this digital growth is the need to feel connected and part of a community,” Henderson says. “The great thing about owning a dance studio is our business is built around families, word-of-mouth marketing and close customer relationships. It is hard to work with a child and not feel invested in them. So I think it is only natural to want to use technology to expand your reach to your customer base and also deepen the connections you already have with you customer.”

Henderson hopes that the webinar will give new ways that businesses can increase word-of-mouth marketing and create and foster connections without generating much extra work or effort. “As with all my seminars, online or live, my hope is to empower studio owners to adopt new systems and new practices that make their lives easier,” she explains.

People can join the webinar through their computer/tablet/smartphone, or they can also call in. “I love for our webinars to be interactive,” Henderson says. “You can submit questions in the chat bar during the live webinar, or you can follow up with us at info@twinklestardance.com.”

So if you are looking to upskill in practical strategies to connect digitally with your customer base, you might want to do yourself a favor and register for the free dance business webinar, Being Personal in a Digital World, to be held on Wednesday, November 8, at 10am PST here.
